Make coloured eggs for Easter

Make a traditional Easter decoration with real eggs

These traditional Easter egg decorations are made from real eggs, blown and coloured.

Use a needle to pierce the shell and membrane at either end of an egg, then, with a straw, blow out the contents into a bowl.

Rinse shell carefully and leave to dry.

Add 20 drops of food colouring to a small bowl with 4tbsp water, then submerge your egg.

When the colour is strong enough, remove egg, leave to dry, then tie on a pretty ribbon, and hang from branches in a vase for an Easter table decoration.
